Sauter is a small piano manufacturing company in Germany. They have been in business for since 1819, now the oldest in the world! Their pianos are absolutely top tier. This particular Sauter was made in 2001 and had one adult owner. Always in Colorado. It was purchased for $25,000 this Model 122M (48") is one of their top line uprights. They now retail over $56K. This piano has a built-in hygrometer that shows the humidity level at a glance. It also has a full sostenuto system (middle pedal) built in, usually found only on super high-quality uprights. The soundboards from Sauter are harvested from the same forest that Stradivarius violins were made. Mountain grown white spruce is the finest in the world. The Renner action is also the finest money can buy. The adjustable leather bench is also high-end from Janssen USA. If space is at a premium but you still want a very high-end upright piano, Sauter is worth looking into. The tone is incredible with projection and sustain that keeps on going and going! This is the finest upright we've ever offered for sale! (Beethoven owned a Sauter!) Click on pic for full view.
