Fred started his career of piano servicing 1975 in Jacksonville, Florida, and moved to Longmont, CO, in 1977. The business is now located near Berthoud, CO. We tune, buy, sell, repair, rebuild and appraise pianos all across the Front Range. We have many satisfied customers, including over a dozen churches and private schools. Fred was also the district tuner for the St. Vrain Valley School District from 1985-1995.

More about Fred Goheen

Fred Goheen has been involved with music since the age of 4. Beginning with piano lessons and then saxophone training all through school has provided a love of music which continues today. A graduate of the Naval School of Music, Little Creek, VA, Fred played saxophone and piano professionally for four years in a United States Navy Fleet Band, traveling aboard two different aircraft carriers, one of which is the famous Intrepid located on the Hudson River in New York. Fred currently plays lead alto sax in the Don Elwood Big Band.

Trained by Concert Piano Technician Robert Kelly in Jacksonville, Florida, Fred began his career servicing pianos at the age of twenty-two. He obtained the Baldwin Piano and Organ franchise in 1978 and was the youngest Baldwin dealer in the United States at that time.

Fred also graduated from the Denver Institute of Technology and services electronic pianos and organs. A licensed ham radio operator since 1967, he holds the Extra Class ham radio license.
